What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise the Cerje Peace Monument for its absolutely stunning panoramic views and its significant historical importance, particularly regarding World War I. The accessible location and on-site amenities are also appreciated. Some find the historical exhibitions could be better curated beyond the initial WWI focus.
"Very nice and easy hike, starting from Miren. Wonderful views, you can see the sea on one side and the whole valley to the other. There is still a very sad feeling, seeing all the trees damaged by the great fire two years ago.
The place is definitely worth visiting. When you reach the top, you can visit and learn about our history, a lot of events are held there, as well. And if you feel hungry or thirsty, you can stop and have a bite or something to drink. (Check the opening hours.)
See you soon."

"Although we nearly flew away because of the storm, it was a nice side quest to drive up here. Extraordinary place and view."

"Amazing views, easily accessible. Great temporary exhibition of the Great War - First World War in the basement. Intro short documentary film - is poignant and we'll explanatory. Rest of exhibition on two additional floors is somehow poorly currated and doesn't built up a cohesive story telling, I'm afraid."
