What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about the absolutely stunning 360-degree views from Devil's Peak, often preferring it to Table Mountain hikes for its unique vistas and natural beauty. The challenging yet rewarding climb is a highlight, though some find the loose rocks and steepness demanding. Sunset hikes are particularly popular, but require preparation for the descent.
"This hike is a gem, especially for sunset. Make sure to have head lights for your way down. We enjoyed this hike more than most hikes up table mountain as you see so many animals, flowers and the view is stunning. About 3 hours up and 1.5h down. Make sure to take enough water and wear proper trekking shoes."

"Starting at the Table Mountain Cableway Lower Station, it’s a 3 hour hike up to the summit of Devil’s Peak. BONUS is the King Protea on top. Ascending from the saddle, it’s not an easy hike, tread carefully on the loose rocks and sandy trail. You are exposed all the time so remember your cap and plenty of water. Highly rewarding with stunning 360 degree vistas of Cape Town and the Cape Flats. Definitely worth visiting at least once 😊"

"Incredible hike. Relatively easy. Recommend for beginners. Amazing 360° views. Early in the morning is the best time to go in my opinion. Watching the sunrise light up the city is one of my favourites. Lots of great photo opportunities along the way."
