We visited Polkadraai Strawberry Farm on Sunday for a family outing, and what a delight it was! The fields were buzzing with little feet and happy families all harvesting their own strawberries. It’s such an affordable and wholesome activity that everyone can enjoy.
After picking, we treated ourselves to waffles and other goodies from their shop—everything was reasonably priced, and the gift shop had lots of charming finds too.
Out in the strawberry tunnels, it’s lovely to see how the strawberries grow. One small note: some berries had been picked and left on the ground, which is a shame. If you’re visiting, please take care of the plants so that the next families can enjoy them too. 🌱💖
We ended our day with a tractor ride around the farm, where we learned about the different types of strawberries and how the farm began. Parking was stress-free as there’s plenty available across the farm.
Overall, we had such a wonderful time, and I’d highly recommend it for a family day out. 👌✨"

"Great fun experience, a bit of a walk to get to the fields but all in all very nice. First few rows are picked off first, went to the middle ones and got nice red, big ones.
They are currently doing some retouching on the place, repainting and tidying which is always welcome as it makes it presentable.
Remember that the strawberries are seasonal so timing is key. Prices are good for what you get and the experience."
