Reviews Summary

Visitors praise Crooks Corner for its unique geographical significance as the meeting point of South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Mozambique, and for its stunning riverine scenery. The opportunity to see wildlife like hippos and crocodiles is a major draw, as is the beautiful drive through the northern Kruger. Some find the trek to get there quite long, and note the lack of facilities.

"The far north of the Kruger National Park and Crook's Corner, the meeting place of South Africa, Zimbabwe and Mozambique. In days gone by those wanting to escape the law in South Africa would go to the no  man's land in the middle of the river and likewise  those wanting to escape the law in Southern Rhodesia as it was then or Mozambique would do the same and that's where the name crook's corner comes from.

The north has an undeserved reputation for being less productive for game viewing. The northern Kruger Park has not only awesome game viewing, it also has some of the most beautiful scenery in the park and some character filled rest camps, and it's got significantly fewer visitors than the busier south."

Chris Corbet

"Significant geographically ( junction of Mocambique, Zimbabwe & South Africa), historically (rendezvous and escape route for smugglers and other "crooks") and scenically as the confluence on the Luvuvhu and Limpopo rivers, with good river views and sunbathing crocodiles! Visitors can get out your vehicle but remain in the wooden railing. No picnic facility but a peaceful, beautiful place."

Vincent Oliver

"What an experience to be at the point where three countries come together, the drive to here is spectacular, and the rest stop just before you go here is out of this world. Everything just looked amazing like something out of a fairytale. We enjoyed the company of hippos and crocodiles while overlooking Crooks' corner"
