"A well run rest camp. Our defective air conditioning unit was replaced immediately. Our guides on the guided drive were informative, entertaining and friendly. All staff have been very obliging. One has to accept that some facilities are a bit worn and/or rustic. Drives revealed lovely game sightings. All roads in the area of the park are beautifully maintained. Overall a very positive experience."

"You can't go wrong with Mopani. The units are spacious and cool thanks to their old rock and mortar walls. The restaurant with its lovely view is a treat. The swimming pool beautiful, well tended to and in a lovely spot. And the setting of Mopani on the koppie overlooking the Pionier dam is just perfect.
The service at the restaurant can be a bit slow at times but maybe it's not a bad thing to be forced to slow down a bit and just spend time to appreciate the setting."

"The location of the camp is as impressive as Oliphant, as it's built on a bluff overlooking the dam. This means that the trail and cafe terrace are great spots for seeing game. Equally impressive is the magnificent baobab tree in the centre.
Game viewing often starts as soon as you leave the entrance gate, with both antelope, buffalo and leopard being spotted on the short drive to the main road T junction.
