What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about the magnificent and unspoiled panoramic views of the Wilderness coastline, often highlighting the potential for dolphin and whale sightings. While the natural beauty is consistently praised, some reviews mention issues with graffiti and litter, and limited parking can be a challenge.
"Loved this view but couldn't walk to the railway as I was alone. But very beautiful. One must be careful as you can only turn unto this spot driving from Wilderness and after drive toward George. Definitely worth the stop though."
Lindy du Preez
"There is a hiking spot all the way to a viewing point as well as a mini bridge walk offering great views of the ocean. There was also a little picnic spot. The area was slightly vandalized with graffiti and a bit of litter, and some spots that seemed to be used for urination.
Although it seemed like a short hike up to the top (hiking spot that's on the left side of the bridge;facing wilderness) it was advised not to hike alone so I didn't end up going. The views are on the right side of the bridge (facing wilderness)."
Nosipho Mthembu
"It is a gorgous view point. It is one of the best view point of the Garden Route road. It is one of the tourist attractions in this area. This veiw point overlooks the beutiful wilderness beach (17 km of golden sandy beach), and the Kaaimans River and lake. Also, you can see both (the Gericke's Point, and Knysna Buffels Bay) from this view point. In addition, you may see whales and white sharks from this view point.
This view point has two car parking one on each side of the road (with walkway bridge under the N2 highway)."
