Road Trip Stop #1: Beopjusa Temple Our first stamp to collect the road trip! There was actually two locations for stamps here. First, we found a small cultural experience hanok on the right side of the temple that had a small table with the old Korean Heritage stamp (Aestheticism Route) along with several other fun stamps that I added to my book! On our way out we found a second stamp location at...

The serene atmosphere, combined with the natural beauty of Songnisan National Park, makes it a perfect spot for reflection and photography. "Beobjusa is one of those places where you start off thinking, “Let’s just take a few photos,” and 10,000 photos later you realize your storage is full.
The temple buildings are beautiful, calm, ancient, and surprisingly photogenic (even my camera got zen). The huge Buddha statue looks like it’s silently judging your life choices but in a loving way. And the flower arrangements made everything look amazing.
There are little shops around selling snacks, teas, and souvenirs, and the people are so kind it’s impossible not to smile back. Definitely wear comfy shoes, enlightenment comes with stairs!
This place is perfect for nature lovers, history fans, and anyone who needs a break from city chaos or too many notifications."

Melline Galani

"It is a good place for healing.
You can see the 3 each giant stone at the left side of this temple.
Also in the middle of the temple, You can see the giant Buddha statue. This statue used to be formed a cement material. But after the time pass cement had a crack and moss problem. So They changed a cement to bronze and bronze to gilt bronze."

Chris

"This temple is beautiful and hosts a few of the Korea national treasures. We visited during the evening prayers and were able to observe the gong ritual. Enjoying the tranquility of the yard, with the prayer chants filling the air from multiple closed hall, and the setting sun made the visit majical"
