Reviews Summary

Visitors consistently praise the National Palace Museum of Korea for its free admission and rich collection of Joseon Dynasty artifacts. Many find it a fascinating and educational experience, especially when combined with a visit to Gyeongbokgung Palace. Some note photography restrictions in certain areas.

"definite must if you want to bring the palaces to life and understand what life was like during the Joseon Dynasty. Let's face it, the palaces are beautiful, but they're empty. It's fun to imagine what life must have been like, and this museum helps you do it. We weren't planning to go, but it was raining. Had I known how interesting and informative this museum was, I would have made the trip even on a sunny day because this gives context to the buildings and grounds you see around you and at other sites, as well as some of the relics you see at other museums."

Shawn Pendley

"I’ve passed by this museum more than ten times, but this was my first time going inside—and I really enjoyed my visit. It has a souvenir shop, a café, and, surprisingly, plenty of restrooms. I recommend this place to anyone visiting the nearby palace—it's definitely worth a stop. It’s also free."

Trân

"This place is very well maintained. You can access This from sub way. No entry fee. Every thing arranged accordingly. Place not to miss."
