"It's an island in the middle of the Han River, so I've always wanted to go there, but when I had time, I went there by car.
Parking is best at Hangang Park Parking Lot 3.
After parking, take a slow walk to Yanghwa Hangang Park on the riverside. There are many trees, so it is refreshing and shady, so even the heat blows away when a breeze blows.
Even though it was a weekday, there were many people laying out mats, bringing simple food, and chatting while resting.
If you walk for about 10 minutes, there is an overpass that goes over the Han River bike path to Seonyudo. When you go over the overpass, a wide open space opens up, and when you go down, it is directly connected to Seonyudo Park.
Seonyudo was originally a land adjacent to Yeongdeungpo. During the Japanese colonial period, a quarry was built there and later used as a water purification plant. After it was closed in 2000, it was renovated and reborn as a citizens' park.
There are no state-of-the-art facilities that make you wonder, but the more you look at the existing facilities, the more you admire the neat and tidy interior of the park. Just walking around seems to purify your tired body and mind.
