What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about the breathtaking views and the rewarding hiking experience at Bukhansan, particularly the climb to Baegundae Peak. The historical significance of the fortress walls adds another layer of appeal. Some find the steeper trails challenging, and weekends can be quite crowded, so weekday visits are often recommended for a more serene experience.
"Awesome hike. Well worth it. Amazing views."

"We went to reach Baegundae Peak, but it was crowded during week-end. This course was more for intermediate, you should prepare snacks and drinks. It took us 5 hours go and down."
laura Le
"Wonderful visit during autumn, we were a little afraid with two kids of 4 and 7 years. We opted to not climb to the peaks as this was not recommended with small children, but enjoyed a 3 hours hiking with them for easy tracks. At the entrance you can ask for advice and maps. On the way, some gates, shrines, all the natural beauty you expect from a forest during fall and as a bonus the Korean hikers, many of them above 60 years. They are the most kind people you can find: polite, smilling always prone to help with the kids. We won tons of candies, jokes and "hi, hello" specially when the children got tired.
Impossible to describe a better experience."
