"We had such a good experience! If you're a rum enthusiast or simply a curious traveler, Destilerías Arehucas is a must-visit!
We arrived around noon and bought reasonably priced tickets at the counter. The ticket includes a guided tour and a tasting of 4 types of rum, though we ended up sampling 8 by sharing – a great idea if you're visiting with someone!
The tour was perfectly timed at about 30 minutes. Our guide, a lovely and very knowledgeable young woman, walked us through the fascinating process of rum production and shared the rich history of the distillery. It was incredible to see the hundreds of barrels, some even signed by celebrities.
The tasting area at the end was the highlight! Sampling the different flavours was fun, and the shop offers bottles at great prices. Overall, it’s a fantastic experience – engaging, educational, and delicious!"
