Reviews Summary

MUBA Fine Arts Museum is praised for its free admission and excellent collection of local prize-winning artists, housed in a beautiful historic building. However, visitors frequently mention an overly strict and unsettling security presence that detracts from the overall enjoyment and prohibits photography.

"We had a wonderful time in this free museum. It's in a historic building"

Shamim Gough

"Free and with some good artists. Worth the visit!"

Cristiana Lages

"I went to the museum with my family. The content of the museum was really beautiful, but the constant and very close monitoring of the security made everyone feel unsettled and we all felt like we couldn't even enjoy or focus on the paintings. We couldn't take pictures of the art and security was extremely close watching if we would do anything. We couldn't even scan the QR codes next to the paintings because we didn't want someone going through our phone. It was extremely uncomfortable and I'm glad I didn't have to pay. I won't come back."
