What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise the beautiful, shaded woodland walk and the fascinating ancient petroglyphs, describing the atmosphere as serene and spiritual. Some note that the trails can be rocky and slippery, and weekends can be crowded with hiking groups.
"The hike is beautiful, through an enchanting ravine with rich vegetation and always in the shade, which is especially pleasant in summer. Be sure to go on a weekday, as on weekends you will encounter many hiking groups, where someone is always commenting loudly, which in the gorge sounds like the police telling you to leave the demonstration."

"Right now the park is not open. However if you park at the info center you can make a very nice walk by following the road through the tunnel. The walk is pretty long and comes back the same way. However when you had enough, just turn back and return to the info center. You can walk as long as you like. This walk is all in the shade so very nice on hot days."

"What am amazing place. The visitors centre was under renovation but the walk was spectacular. It was very cold and damp in the ancient woods and felt very quiet, serene and spiritual. Their was lots of fungi and moss covering the rocks and trees. The walk was way marked with information points in Spanish and English telling you the interesting history of the place. It was lovely to see the petroglyphs, aboriginal rock art. A lot were covered in moss on the colourful rocks and many were well visible. You could hear water trickling and birds singing. Their was some rock falls in areas and it was quite rocky and very slippery in places, especially the steps so you need good footwear. The walk is not really suitable if you have mobility issues. Parking was outside the visitors centre and also upon the main road layby. Their was another walk waymarked under the tunnel. Very well worth visiting to experience this amazing place."
