"It houses the Vice-Chancellor of the Pontevedra Campus, included in Uvigo, who promotes a wide cultural offer in this city, both for members of the university community and for the general public. The name Casa das Campás is given to it because it had a bell that rang the mass of San Bartolomeu O Vello, before the church had a bell tower. This church was already built and in service as a parish church in the 13th century and was located on the lot that today occupies the Main Theater and the Liceo Casino. During the medieval period, its atrium was the usual meeting place of the Council. When the temple was demolished, in 1842, a flying arch that connected the church with this house was also demolished. In the 15th century it was the home of the Puga family. On its north facade, it has two coats of arms: one on the left, with the arms of the Puga family (two cauldrons and two spurs in a cross) and the other on the right, very unique (of irregular proportions and holding a heron), both belonging to Don Lope García de Vaamonde and his wife Dona Violante de Puga Sandoval y López de Mosquera. In the 19th century, Xosé Aboal, uncle of the ruthless pirate Benito Soto, lived in this house, famous for the legend of a treasure he buried in the basement of this house and his birth known as La Burla Negra."

"The "large" octopus tapa is only "large" in name. A place known for its quality and specialty in octopus can't possibly charge you €22 for a tapa of that size. The rest of the tapas are the same as at other restaurants in the area. Very good service and location."
