What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Santa Cristina de Lavadores Church is appreciated for its historical depth, with roots tracing back to 1201, and its unique architectural features like the embedded transept. Visitors often find the surrounding area peaceful for quiet contemplation. However, some guests have experienced disturbances from frequent fireworks and less-than-welcoming interactions.
"Parish or church of Santa Cristina de Lavadores, beyond being a religious site with the tasks it performs, it is better to talk to the parish priest who is the best knowledgeable of its history as well as the people who attend masses.
As a cultural place, its history dates back to approximately 1835/36. According to historical archives, there are archaeological remains even in its construction. Like the Rande Islands before the battle, there lived an English pirate named Henry Kane if I remember his name correctly, the first dated inhabitant, behind the images, behind the writings, there is a story."

"The old Romanesque church of Santa Cristina de Lavadores dates back to 1201, but the building was rebuilt in the late 19th century, resulting in the loss of many of its original elements. The façade is crowned by an image of Saint Cristina framed in a niche. The entrance portico has a transept embedded in the wall."

"Enough with the bombs, you're going too far. You can't spend half an hour throwing bombs three times a day. The animals have a terrible time, and the children get scared too. Nobody cares about the bombs; they're just there to annoy people, so please stop."
