Reviews Summary
Akçapınar Kite Beach is a world-renowned spot for kitesurfing, praised for its consistent winds and vibrant atmosphere. However, visitors frequently point out the high costs associated with beach entry, lessons, and on-site dining, which can detract from the experience for some.
"I have been to plenty of beaches and water sports spots, but I have never come across prices this outrageous.
To start with, there is an entrance fee just to access the beach, which is illegal.
Kitesurfing lessons cost between €65 and €85 per hour, but of course you cannot learn the sport in just one hour.
Realistically, you will need at least four hours, which comes to about €250, and if you do not already have windsurfing or windfoil experience, you will need even more time and money to make progress.
Despite plenty of instructors being available on short notice, none of the schools are willing to negotiate. It is no surprise that there are far fewer kitesurfers on the water compared to previous years.
It would cost far less to join a sailing club, spend a full day learning at the world famous Fistral Beach, or even attend a week long surf camp in the Canary Islands. That is without even considering the cost of food and beverages here, as the restaurants and bars remain as overpriced as ever.
I honestly do not understand what the end goal is with such inflated costs, but it certainly is not sustainable."

"I am a beginner kite surfer and I was there last summer for the first time.
First of all the entrance fee was 450 TL which is illegal. They defend it as it is for facilities. But whoever uses facilites should pay each of them seperately. Paid toiletes in Turkey usually 5-10 TL and then showers should be the similar say 20 TL. We should pay 30 TL tops for entrance not like 15 times more than that. I don't know how much it is now this year but somebody needs to stop this.
The rest of it is good but again the bar is too expensive, they charge you everything 3 times more expensive than outside. Kite clubs charge you 70€ per hour for a lesson with an instructer including equipment.
It is a very nice place to kite surf but very expensive."
