"Ongoing excavation with some amazing ruins, free to visit in Aug/2025, we were en route to Didim from Fethiye and we loved the visit, small detour from the main road, huge potential here as work is currently under way to uncover more of the site, very worth it!"

"Lagina is not a city, it is one of the sanctuaries of Stratonikeia Ancient City. According to the archeological findings, the history of the area dates back to 3000 B.C. The Hekate Temple, which is the main complex of the area was built in 6th century B.C. The most spectecular remaining of the area is the semi-circle propylon. The Hekate Temple, altar of the temple and the base of a church between the temple and the altar is also worth to see. There are also additional remainings attributed as stores and macellum, however, these are still being questioned.
There is no enterance fee to the area as of January 2022. When you drive from Yatagan to Lagina, you will see a Lagina sign pointing right. You need to make a U turn to the right and enter to the side road. This road will directly take you the site. 1 hour is going to be sufficient to visit the area completely."

"Wozzers! Amazing hidden ancient site, the turn off from the highway to get on the road to the site is terribly signposted and easy to miss, if you go there after rain be advised that it can get muddy as there is lots of soft dirt as they are still actively digging the site."
