"Probably the most local of all night markets in Taichung. We visited on a weekend, and it was quite packed with mostly locals.
Overall, this is a small market (about 80-100 stalls), which means you can cover it pretty quickly. But, it is also a bit congested and hence pushing a stroller can get difficult but not too bad.
We had some interesting and tasty food here - scallion pancakes, Taiwanese fried chicken and churros.
There are loads of stalls with interesting games and wares such as candy, clothes and phone accessories. Just outside the market, there are several claw machine booths where you can play to win stuff like toilet paper and Labubu's."

"Crowded, hot, overly congested, impossible to find car or motorbike parking, long lines due to certain stalls going IG viral, and honestly not much cheaper than brick and mortar stores. Do not recommend. Even local Taiwanese friends said they wouldn’t recommend."
PHOEBE CHEN
"Super bustling night market with so many stalls. Was recommended to come here because it is less touristy, and I guess that’s true as hardly saw any tourists. The usual food, shopping and games here. The food we had were all great, especially like the 炸弹葱油饼 (exploding egg spring onion pancake), super yummy crispy and filled with lots of ingredients. There were queues but it moved pretty quickly. There were stalls for dine-in as well.
There is a small river opposite the night market where people were sitting and eating as well. Also a family mart nearby .
We took an uber here about 6.30pm, and left around 8.30pm. Cause of the entrance location points, we thought it’s easier to flag a cab but was hard to get one, so we walked to the family mart and called an Uber from there."
