"I went there on a Saturday afternoon. There were way less people than I expected. I got the entrance for free, because I'm a university student. The whole place is very nice and you can take many nice pictures. You can also go on a guided tour. I didn't go because there wasn't a space for me, but I met two guides while walking around and they introduced the place to me anyway."

"I visited The Lin Family Mansion and Garden (林本源園邸) today around noon on April 26, 2025.
As soon as we arrived, we realized that my father had accidentally left his phone in the taxi. Thankfully, we were able to contact the taxi driver, but we had no way to communicate properly. A kind gentleman working at the ticket booth helped us by speaking with the driver on our behalf. Thanks to his help, we were able to get the phone back safely.
I was deeply touched by the kindness and helpfulness of the Taiwanese people.
As for the Lin Family Mansion and Garden itself — it was just as beautiful as I had imagined. The traditional architecture and serene gardens created a truly unforgettable experience."

"A quiet place with few people. This was the family house of one of the richest families in Taiwan, they allegedly owned all the salt trade in Taiwan back then, now it's empty and nice to visit.
This traditional building is a hidden chem and free for taiwanese citizens"
