The peaceful atmosphere and breathtaking countryside views are frequently highlighted, making it a truly unforgettable experience. "Dougga is one of the most beautiful and well-preserved Roman ruins I have ever visited. Surrounded by stunning green hills, the site offers breathtaking views of the Tunisian countryside. The ancient theater, temples, and Roman roads are remarkably intact, giving a true feeling of traveling back in time. Walking through the ruins, you can almost imagine the daily life of the people who lived here centuries ago.

The atmosphere is peaceful, the air is fresh, and the mix of nature with history makes Dougga a unique and unforgettable place to explore. Truly a must-see in Tunisia"

Hamdi Chemingui

"A surreal, yet moderately preserved site, though difficult to navigate and best avoided outside the winter and spring months (very hot otherwise). You'll likely have it entirely to yourself, as it's rarely visited , bring lots of water. Access is only possible through Teboursouk. The site is poorly organized, with little information available and minimal oversight from those responsible. Still, it's a true gem among the Roman ruins in Tunisia."

Kamel Didan

"Dougga is probably one of the largest and best preserved Roman ruins I have seen outside of Europe. The theatre is still in quite good condition and many of the other areas are more than just foundations. It can take two or three hours to walk around the whole site. There are some things an extended way out from the main area.
This was the first time I had seen cisterns like this for storing water, they are quite impressive. There are still a few mosaics, but it looks like most have been moved to Bardo museum.
This is one site that is definitely worth a visit."
