"Super Roman Day at the Lunt Fort, excellent battle reenactments, so much to see and do, tents, archery, pottery. An absolute hidden gem!"
Ella Bloxham
"This reconstructed Roman wooden fort is normally used for school visits. But it's open for public visits during holidays and there are individual events. It's not very prepossessing on the outside, but once you get inside in the grain store it really comes to life. The permanent staff are really knowledgeable and enthusiastic, the displays are really well done, and you can handle the replica artefacts. I had to drag my two grandchildren (boys) away after two hours!! They wanted to go again the next day."

"It's really good place to touch history."
