What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about Blue Pool Bay's stunning natural beauty and secluded atmosphere, calling it a 'hidden gem' and one of the best beaches on the Gower. The unique tidal pool is a major draw for swimming and photography. However, the challenging, steep scramble down the cliff and the strict reliance on low tide for access are significant drawbacks for some, making it unsuitable for families with young children or those with mobility issues.
"A great place to visit, a short walk, with a climb/scramble down to the beach below - probably not suitable for younger children or people with mobility issues.
Make sure you keep an eye on the tides as it comes in fast and cuts the pool off!"
Ben Squires
"One of the best beaches on the Gower. Many people visit it to swim in ‘the puddle’ - AKA The Blue Pool - a perfectly situated and formed pool with a circular rock form that fills with water at high tide and when the tide ebbs, leaves a pool of water to swim in. It can fill with sand too but when the sand isn’t there, you can dive off the rocks into it. The Blue Pool is what gives the bay its name."
Thom James
"An amazing, beautiful, secluded bay. Recommended for naturists who wish to enjoy a 'private' beach in the buff."
