What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise the breathtaking panoramic views from Crich Stand, especially from the Memorial Tower, calling them spectacular and well worth the climb. The memorial itself is noted as a nice tribute. Some minor points of feedback include the early closing time of the cafe and the need for clearer signage regarding parking fees.
"Visited mid afternoon on first Saturday of June 2024. Sunny clear day so spectacular views in all directions. Cafe, with toilets, closed at 3pm. £1.50 voluntary parking and £0.50 to climb Memorial Tower (well worth the steep climb). Lots of open well maintained grassed areas and benches."

"Nice memorial for a local regiment, plus you get great views of the countryside.
Word of warning you are expected to pay to park, there is a not very well signposted collection box just before you enter, you drop your money into it, doing this and also taking care on the grass with your car will ensure you avoid the wrath of the warden who oversees the facility, I would suggest taking the attitude that not everyone is a local and maybe accepting the signage for the car park pay box could be better will save him a lot of stress.
You can go up the tower for an extra better view, this costs 50p so make sure you have money on you…"
