Today's walk. Keep changing my mind what to name it. The three lakes walk, as you will visit Dinas Lake, Cwm Bychan lake and Gloyw Lyn or call it by its original name the High route to Cwm Bychan. A circular walk directly from the campsite. It's worth a slight detour to see a small stone circle, and another detour if you would like a dip in a plunge pool. Reviews Summary

Cwm Bychan is lauded for its stunning, tranquil natural beauty, offering a wild and remote escape with opportunities for hiking, swimming, and paddleboarding. Visitors rave about the picturesque lake, the ancient Roman Steps, and the lush, moss-covered landscapes. However, the challenging narrow access road and occasional issues with other campers detract from the experience for some.

"Western approach to the ‘Roman Steps’ extremely tranquil west facing cwm with a lovely Llyn.

Entirely deserted, except for free roaming sheep and Canada Geese"

Simon Cooper

"Lovely drive there, honestly looks like something out of Lord Of The Rings in Hobbiton with areas completely full of the greenest of moss. The lake and surrounding areas are lovely and the Roman Steps lead up to some lovely walks. Be careful though as there’s no phone reception here and it’s easy to come off the routes when higher up which we found out after a 5 mile hike turned into over a 10 mile one. All in all absolutely beautiful."

Wild About Nature

"Heard a lot about this area, but couldn't get a parking spot on the day I went, so didn't stay long. Looked like a really wild place with very rugged scenery and lots of lush greenery. I'll go back one day when I can and can't wait to explore it properly. The scenery wasn't what I'd call pretty and may be too rugged and wild for some people however."
