What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Blackpool's South Promenade offers a classic seaside experience, particularly renowned for its dazzling Illuminations. While many enjoy the nostalgic charm and vibrant atmosphere, some visitors note concerns about high prices for food and drink, and the general condition of certain areas. It remains a popular spot for families and those seeking traditional seaside fun.
"Went to Blackpool for a day trip and how the mighty have fallen, absolutely nothing like it used to be. There are more chip shops than you can count that have extortionate prices, we had battered sausage with chips and gravey and that came to £17.00 and it was only a small portion of a meal. The hotels most off them that looked like derelict buildings looked awful. As for something to do there are amusement if you are into them, other than that there's just eating and drinking.
There were horses pulling carriages all day but the horses looked thin and awful and one of them you could see was lame and yet being made to work.
The worst is the amount of druggies you see out of their faces on whatever they take and it's not a pleasant sight at all.
If it was not for the air display we would have been bored silly.
I won't be visiting again."

"What a dump. Blackpool council should be ashamed. Dirty nappies on the floor rotten tables smell of sewerage everywhere. What hell hole. I used to come here in 80s and was better. Over priced disgusting burger bars . Shocking"
