"I was in Blackpool for 2 days visiting an old friend. I decided to go and look at the famous illuminations which used to be quite a sight in the early 80's.
Very dissapointing.No lit up trams or buses any more, just overhead flashing lights and neon characters.Its certainly lost its sparkle (literally!) and certainly wasn't drawing the crowds like it used to.The photo is representative of the lights right at the end of the strip.

Great pace to visit but on a wet rainy day its not the best. But if you don't mind the weather and wrap up warm its a nice walk."
