"Lovely place, great views and so peaceful. Meadows on flower and hardly a person to be seen.
Quite a slope up/down depending on which way you do the circular walk which is well sign posted with info boards too."

"I've been wanting to visit Hannahs Meadows, Nature Reserve for about a year now & found time with hubby. Hannah gave Durham wildlife Trust land.
I think Hannah was a remarkable person and a strong one, too. We went on Easter Sunday, 20/04/25, so no wildflowers or that ,but lots of sheep and babies.
Parking is 200 metres on the left as there isn't any car access! But there is a steep climb, so as a wheelchair user, we parked on the side of the road about 150 yards.
The path is excellent, but as a disabled person, even with an electric wheelchair, my hubby had to stop a few times as the path to Hannahs Meadows is a steep hill.
The barn is filled with information about Hannah and farming methods& and the scenery and lakes are beautiful.
I gave a 4β instead of a 5β because the calmness we had evaporated on the climb up. So for a disabled person, the terain wasn't easy.
Hannah is buried in romaldkirk cemetery."
