Reviews Summary
Hubbard's Hills is widely praised as a beautiful and special natural park, perfect for walks, picnics, and family fun. Visitors appreciate its free entry, the charming River Lud for paddling, and the abundance of scenic spots. Some minor concerns include the condition of the car park and the inconsistent enforcement of dog leash rules.
"Hubbard's Hills is truly one of Lincolnshire’s most special places & it deserves every one of these five stars. Beyond the sheer natural beauty of this steep-sided valley, there's a lovely piece of history here, it was gifted to the people of Louth in 1907 as a lasting memorial to Annie Pahud by her heartbroken husband's trustees. It's amazing to think this gorge was carved out by glacial meltwater some 40,000 years ago!
The River Lud, a gentle chalk stream, meanders through the valley floor and is the heart of the park's appeal. On a warm day, you'll see children (including mine) taking a joyful 'river shower' near the stepping stones, it’s pure, old-fashioned fun and crystal clear water.
The park is enormous, offering endless possibilities for a perfect day out. The picnic spots are abundant; truly, you just pick your favorite secluded meadow or riverside bank and settle in. It never feels crowded.
For convenience, the North Car Park, the cafe and the clean WC facilities are all conveniently located right across from each other near the main entrance. Don't forget to seek out the 'love bridge' where couples & love birds have written their names and hung them up, t’s a small, romantic hidden touch that adds to the magic of the place.
A perfect spot for walking, relaxing, and making beautiful family memories. We seen many people with dogs walking here. Highly, highly recommended!"

"What a beautiful place. Lots of people walking their dogs and allowing them to go swimming in the clear waters that run through the park. Free car parking and a cafe onsite. There is a woodland trail plus bridges to cross but also a wheelchair friendly access that runs through the park. Will definitely return."

"Lovely place. Although one of the reason I visited with the dog was because it says all dogs on leads - several not on leads - which made it harder visiting with a reactive dog sadly. But great shady walks through the trees. Bentley even had a little paddle . Will definitely be a regular place to go"
