What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise the Lincolnshire Wolds for their beautiful, rolling countryside and sense of peace, making it ideal for walking and dog-walking. The expansive 'big skies' and opportunities for isolation are frequently highlighted. However, some note a lack of readily available viewpoints and that amenities can be spread out, requiring travel between locations.
"Lovely rolling countryside, especially on the green tourist route. Not many places to stop and admire the views though! The Railway only opens for seeing trains and engines working on certain weekends. Check beforehand."

"Was a great day out with friends, enjoyed the sunshine and the atmosphere here today"
Mark Smith
"If you want wide open spaces with lovely rolling hills and nobody around to spoil the views, then this is where you should be. Abundant footpaths criss-cross the countryside and there are plenty of pubs to keep you in food and drink. Also, close proximity to the coast, so you can have a variety of experiences. Prices are good and the east is dry, compared with the west. Don't expect big hills and mountains, but if you want a sense of isolation, you can find it. Great for dog-walking."
