Reviews Summary

Visitors praise Morfa Mawddach as a beautiful and convenient gateway to the Mawddach Estuary and Barmouth Bridge, highlighting its scenic trails and free parking. Some note the need to actively signal for the train and the absence of litter bins, requiring visitors to be self-sufficient.

"Visiting the station carpark there are excellent cleaning recently refurbished toilets serving both the station and Mawddach Way. A bonus is the carpark also has 2 eVolt EV charging bays which are operational but aren't yet on the eVolt map."

Barry Haeger

"Quiet place to pick up the train. Plenty of free parking available and also toilets. Make sure you stick your hand out to stop the train and also let the guard know you want to get off there."

Ian Craig

"The station consists of a platform and shelter with a decent car park. Beyond the platform is a gate that connects to the path running between Barmouth and the Morfa Mawddach public lavatory. Turning left out of this gate leads you to the bridge over the Mawddach but there are two paths to your right that you will see across the top of an old bank of earth now covered with gorse. These paths lead you off in the direction of the Mawddach Cresent built by Solomon Andrews at the end of the 1800's. The paths will provide you with an opportunity to climb the large hill between you and the Crescent. The hill provides excellent views of the surrounding landscape and estuary. It is also possible to walk around it. You may even see a grass snake as we did. There are also further opportunities to take to the Mawddach Trail here."
