"A great day out for families and adults (out of school holidays 😂) alike.....so much history here, brought to life with Interactive exhibitions and recreated scenarios. I loved the bomb shelter, listening to what it would've been like sitting waiting for the planes to drop their bombs.
The children loved getting involved with the interactive parts of the exhibition and exploring the tunnels throughout the fort! There is also a large playground for kids to play and parents to sit with picnics as well as a lovely cafe on site for coffees, food etc.
Unequalled views from the top of the fort that take your breath away, so beautiful. I wonder what it must've felt like for the soldiers who were posted there seeing the planes coming towards England as on a clear day you can literally see for miles!!!

They have built a large play area for kids. Lovely cafe, I didn't buy anything but the menu looked good.
The good thing about this place is you can reuse your entry ticket for a year without paying again.
This is a hidden gem. I will be visiting again 😁"

"The fort has recently gone under a huge renovation project, which was carried out in pain staking detail to insure it was done to a high standard. The facilities here are really informative and educational, some of my great great grandads medals are on display here which is a great honour. The views from the top turret platforms are amazing."
