Fantastic Historical facts about these castle ruins, and as for the stepping stones, just wear the adequate / correct footwear to cross with, they were not slippery when i visited here but have heared stories of public visiting here in colder wetter months and slipping in, thankfully the water / river is not that deep .. All said be careful, take your time, enjoy."
