What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about Radipole Lake's tranquil beauty and abundant birdlife, especially its convenient location within Weymouth. The free entry and accessible paths are major pluses, though the distant traffic hum is a minor detraction for some. The cafe is a popular spot for refreshments and wildlife viewing.
"Beautiful place with a quaint little café overseeing the lake.
Lots of bird species can be seen here, such as Marsh Harriers, cormorants, bearded tits, swans, herons, and lots of other birds too!"

"Entry was free. The thatched building has a cafe with a large window to view part of the lake and some outdoor seating. You have to be prepared for the fact that a lot of the area is covered in reeds which are necessary for the birds to nest and be safe. I saw ducks, carp, swans, sygnets, heron, swallows, marsh harrier. It's a lovely peaceful place to walk around. It's a five star space for the animals. The only downside for me was the fact that I could always hear the hum of traffic in the distance, hence 4 stars."

"So many birds in the reserve just watchingthem by the cafe. There was also fish in the water ,alot my friendsfush here.. It's a nice long walk and you can spend most of the day there. It's a 20 min walk to rspb lodmoor. Good to see they laid a new layer on the path, as it gets flooded and can't walk through.
Enjoyable walk around, peaceful and quite."
