Reviews Summary

While the site is deeply appreciated for its historical significance, some reviewers expressed a desire for more readily available information, especially regarding its Viking past.

"Amazing place with loads of history. They should make more information available for the Viking past as that's what we went for. The whole area could really benefit from it's intresting past. Would be nice if there was info on the boundary lines and maybe some excavation photos or documentation. Over all very interesting."

"Fantastic Historic Church in a beautiful village and the resting place of Kings , Saints and Vikings not forgetting famous cricketers too .
King Aethelbald of Mercia and Saint Wystan himself were once laid to rest here . Also, one Ivar Ragnarsson, aka Ivar the Boneless the famous and indomitable warrior of the Great Heathan Army fame is said to be at rest here . WOW .
Well worth a visit for both history and church fanatics .
More importantly a beautiful place for quiet reflection and prayer ."
