What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise the Royal Victoria Chapel for its fascinating historical exhibits and the incredible value offered by the tower climb. The knowledgeable and friendly volunteers, particularly Brian, are frequently highlighted for enhancing the visitor experience with their insights. While the chapel itself is a historical gem, some may find the exhibits a bit niche, and the tower climb requires a moderate level of fitness.
"The old chapel is all that is left of the hospital. We walked around the exhibits inside which tells the story of the hospital and those that worked as doctors and nurses. One of the volunteers Brian talk to us for while over 30 minutes giving his insight into the unique history of the chapel and indeed the wider hospital site. Fascinating insight. We also took the opportunity to climb the tower to see the views of the site and across Southampton water. Only £4 to do so and well worth the climb."

"We really enjoyed the candle lit concert in Southampton Chapel. The string quartet were exceptionally talented and we recognised every Coldplay song. It was a great experience and we would recommend it."
