While some note boat hire charges, the overall sentiment is overwhelmingly positive, highlighting it as a lovely spot for families and relaxation.
"Nicely kept park with a feature fountain, gardens, lake and trails. Nice cafe for refreshments, toilets and a car park. Lovely place to walk and see wild birds. A little ice cream stall sells bird feed and the birds will eat from your hands. Sug at the bird feeding station at the lakeside and watch them feed and the squirrels raid the bird food too. A few rats as always when by water but of no bother as thrh ketp their distance. If you're like me you'll still enjoy seeing everything and a few rodents. Boats to be hired. Looks available but charged sadly, something that should be free in a park really but otherwise great."

"Haven't been to Stanley Park since I was a boy - despite regularly visiting Blackpool! Visited the park today with wife, daughter and two dogs - little girl loved it, especially the play area and the lake.
Grabbed an ice cream, fed the ducks, geese and swans (bird feed available for £1 from the ice cream stall near the boating lake).
Lovely park and kept exceptionally clean and tidy."
