"We visited statfold for the first time on a special statbus weekend where 50 vintage buses had come to be admired!
But even without the buses there is so much for a family to do- museums of trains, roundhouse, 2 separate train rides, bouncy castles, diner, 2 playground parks, mini golf, softplay, climbing, roller skating rinks and a fairgrounds museum with vintage flat rides and arcades!
The only thing that lets it down is the opening hours are 10:00-16:00 and so it’s hard to feel like you’ve seen and done most things you want to do and we payed almost £60 for a family ticket and then a further £20 for rides on the fairground. Some of the activities have an extra cost like roller skating and climbing! It turns into a very expensive and relatively short day!"

The fairground museum was interesting, with informative panels explaining everything on display. Likewise the static locomotives on display. There was also two railways to ride. So far, so good, but that's pretty much it for anything to hold my attention. I gave it a fair shot (almost 3 hrs) and wanted to like this place more than I did. But a solo adult isn't the target audience - I get that - so I was glad I hadn't paid full price for a ticket. If you want to get the most out of a visit here then you're definitely going to need to take some little people with you."
