Visitors consistently praise the Theatre Royal Winchester for its charming Edwardian auditorium, intimate atmosphere, and friendly, helpful staff. It's a beloved venue for introducing children to theatre and for enjoying a wide range of performances. Some minor drawbacks include potentially restricted views from certain balcony seats and the foyer bar becoming busy before shows.
"Great theatre, enjoyed a performance of Dracula. Good facilities and staff friendly. Only quibble is that some of the side balcony seats should be advertised as having a restricted view as we could not see anything happening at the front corner, stage left where quite a lot was happening. We were able to move."

"Wet to see THE GEORGE HARRISON PROJECT. The show was great. The theater is wonderfull. The staff were great. I am in a wheelchair and they could not have been more helpfull. Disabled toilet was spotless. All areas i wanted to get to was easy. Nice bar and they had great coffee as well. We will be coming again. The only problem is parking. There is a car park just down the road and it is free with a blue badge"

"A lovely little theatre. We have visited a few times to see some of the kids things which tour here, and it's a great way to introduce the little ones to the theatre.
The auditorium itself is small but perfectly formed, which really means there are no bad seats. In the foyer areas there is a bar and usually a couple of stands selling programmes and ice cream. This is also small so can get a bit busy before performances, so don't plan on spending too much time at the theatre before your show.
All in all every visit we have made to the Theatre Royal has been an enjoyable experience."
