Reviews Summary

Visitors praise Water's Edge Country Park for its beautiful views of the Humber Bridge and its transformation into a serene nature reserve. It's a popular spot for dog walks and family outings, with a pleasant cafe offering good food at reasonable prices. While the park is free to enter with ample parking, some of the educational exhibits in the visitor centre could benefit from an update.

"Really nice place to stop and chill out good view of the old Bridge and plenty of seating outside the cafe wather your on a dog walk or popping in for something to eat its a good place to stop"

Paul

"It's hard to believe this used to be amongst England's worst places for pollution.

A former tile and brick quarry, a rope making factory, and a fertiliser producing plant, this then heavily-industrialised plot of land was responsible for releasing a large amount of pollutants and chemicals into the surrounding area, causing a whole range of problems, but when the council (Glanford Borough Council) claimed that piece of land, they transformed it into a serene, decontaminated nature reserve where you can see a whole diversity of life."

Rhys Costellow

"The waters' edge country park
Is a really good place to visit. It's a very attractive place with lovely views over the river. There are lots of ponds full of wildlife and footpaths to walk along. There are things to see in the visitors' centre and toilets. It's free to enter and there is plenty of free parking."
