What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Guests rave about the spectacular spa facilities and the rejuvenating hydrotherapy experience, especially when combined with a massage. The stunning mountain setting and the variety of pools and saunas are frequently praised. However, some visitors found the spa to be somewhat expensive for the diversity offered, and a few experienced less-than-ideal front desk service and communication issues regarding massage bookings.
"Spectacular spa facilities! This was a perfect way to spend a beautiful summer day. We booked a couples massage which was extremely relaxing and included a day pass to the spa grounds for hydrotherapy. The soaking pools are so relaxing with multiple temperature and I loved the various types of saunas. I could seriously spend all day here.
My only regret is that I didn't check out of my hotel room at the Alyeska Resort before our 8:30am massage time. We had to leave the grounds to check out of the hotel and there is no re-entry after you leave. This is something I wish I knew and I wish the spa would have been cooperative of this to allow one re-entry knowing we were staying on site, had a very early massage appointment, and we needed to check out of our room.
Regardless, we still had a great time and I'd highly recommend. The grounds are beautiful, the facilities are very clean, and I left feeling very relaxed."

"The spa itself was really big. There’s a TON of options (biggest spa i’ve been to). The pools and hot tubs had lots of debris and dead bugs - not really their fault but it’s something to consider.
The front desk wasn’t the best experience; we had to ask them to give us a synopsis of our massage and the girl helping my boyfriend and I told us to just listen to the other girl (who was half way through) talking to someone else explaining the facility instead of taking the time to introduce it. We also paid for deep tissue massages at the front desk as an add-on but it wasn’t communicated with our therapists - which was a bit frustrating.
It was also my birthday and there wasn’t any discount and our discount code for our friends’ wedding was a pain to get applied.
With ALL that being said -
Our massages were amazing. Zack and Lynn massaged my boyfriend and I. They were both amazing! Like… top tier massages we’ve had! I would recommend this spa to family and friends solely for the two of them and the amenities. Thanks!! 😄"

"The Nordic Spa is an upscale outdoor sauna/spa experience fully immersed deep in the Alaskan mountains. It is large but not as large/diverse as I had hoped. There are 3 types of pool (hot, warm, cold) and these types are just repeated. Similarly, the sauna rooms are mostly at similar temperatures of being warm.
For the price, somewhat expensive and not as diverse.
The pricing option is misleading, as there are no re-entry. We purchased the all day pass which was $40 more expensive than the half-day pass assuming we could re-enter."
