What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about Klondike Park's unique quarry landscape, scenic trails, and peaceful atmosphere. The lookout bluff and white sand lake are frequently highlighted as must-see spots. While some find trail signage could be more descriptive, the overall experience is overwhelmingly positive, with many calling it a favorite park.
"Great park!
The hogsback trail by the clubhouse is beautiful, it goes all the way up to the bluffs and all the way back down almost within sight of the road.
There is also an amazing overlook with an easy paved trail straight up to it from the clubhouse parking lot.
There is also a 0.5 mi paved walking trail around the lake, which has sand all around it and is very peaceful.
There is a separate parking lot by the lake.
There is also a trail that goes down and connects to the Katy trail in two places, and also has a scenic view of the river.
There are several campsites and many interesting trails all over the place.
The signage is not the most descriptive, but with a decent sense of direction you won't get lost, and the park is a beautiful amd peaceful way to explore.
This is one of my favorite parks ever!"

"The cabins are cozy and have 1 amp electricity. $65 per night is reasonable and we had a great time hiking there on all the trails! Augusta wineries are all around, and I do suggest also going to nearby Washington, Dutzow deli for breakfast, and Root Food and Wine for a nice dining experience. Just note that there are stink bugs inside the cabins you may want to spray for. The website doesn’t work, so you have to call to rent the cabins."

"We enjoyed a surprisingly rugged hike from Outlook to part of Hogsback to Rock Crusher and finishing Hogsback for a 3.5 mile loop. Rocky and rooty trail surface covered with fallen leaves is also at times steep or narrow. It is a lovely young forest tucked between the road and the lake."
