"We had our wedding here last May on Memorial day weekend. To say it was the best day ever, is an understatement! We had a pretty large wedding of 270 guests. When we first told them this many people, they were very excited to take on the challenge as it was never done here before. And they did amazing. Jayna and her team were very accommodating with all of our requests of the day and the year leading up to it. The mansion itself could not hold this many people. So we rented a huge tent (100ft x 60ft) on the lawn for the reception, and the lawn was big enough for our ceremony on one side of it with plenty of space to spare on the other.
Cocktail hour was on the beautiful wrap around mansion porch over looking everything. The mansion was mostly used by the wedding party as our get ready spaces. The guests were given historical tours of the mansion during cocktail hour as well. And those who were daring enough, got to climb the stairs and ladder to the top of the tower for the best views of Baltimore city.
Our caterer had plenty of space on the side lawn for all their cooking equipment. We had to get a mobile bathroom in addition to the inside bathrooms, since we had this many people. But that was easy to hook up, because the mansion had electrical and water lines right where we needed them. Since the wedding was mostly outside, I did rent a quite generator for the dj and lighting equipment and hide it between the trees on the lawn. Our photos from the photographer came out wonderful. There are so many great spots for photos at this location. Our photo team was very excited about this location because of that.
We wanted a rainbow and music festival themed wedding and the team and location here was just perfect for that. Every time we see guests from our wedding, they keep telling us how much they loved the space and how much they enjoyed it.
For any couples that are looking for a wedding venue, we highly recommend The Clifton Mansion!"
