"62 years ago, during the summer of 1963, I took course work at Duke Marine Lab. It was between my Junior and Senior year at the University of Rochester, NY. Biology major, Chemistry minor. To this day, at age 83, I remember the wonderful experiences there. Dr. Bookhaut was in charge back then. Treasure your time at the Lab. It will stay with you forever."

"I want to give a shout out to Chris Richardson at the DUML cafeteria. We had a symposium there and we wanted to serve some home-made ceviche and steamed shellfish for the attendees. Chris set up 2 shucking tables, melted butter for us, and made every accomodation to make our lunch a success! He went above and beyond even on short notice. Thank you to Chris and his staff! You guys are great!"
