Reviews Summary

Visitors praise the Boston Harbor Islands for their historical significance, particularly Fort Warren on Georges Island, and the natural beauty of islands like Spectacle. The ferry staff are often noted as pleasant. However, some find Spectacle Island less engaging than others, and the scarcity of trash cans requires visitors to be diligent about packing out their waste.

"Great history. The outer islands are very beautiful. Visit The Graves if you can. Watch for ticks, though. Lots of them."

Jeff Atkins

"If you are a national and state park aficionado, you will love this one. It consists of 4 islands that you can visit. You do have to take a fari to get to them. We only had time to visit George's Island, which is the one that's is also a national historic site. It truly is an amazing place. I did see that they had a little store where they sell hot dogs, but there are a bunch of places that you can picnic at. You need a good 2 full days to explore this park. we will be visiting again soon so we can visit the other island. There are almost no trashcans in the islands, so you do have to carry your trash with you."

Ana Cano Diaz

"The ferry staff were so pleasant and friendly. Spectacle island was breathtaking and stunning. One of the cleanest, most informative parks I have ever visited. I visited in July and it was warm but the park rangers had water stations every so often with ICE COLD water!"
