Reviews Summary
Visitors overwhelmingly recommend The Sports Museum and TD Garden tours for their immersive experience and knowledgeable guides. The collection of Boston sports memorabilia is a major draw, offering a deep dive into the history of local teams. "A must visit for any Boston sports fan!
Remember tip your tour guides - grab cash before the tour as gratuity is always appreciated!
The Sports Museum in Boston offers 2 unique tours - a museum tour (for the die hard) and the arena tour. Visitors can see blend famed artifacts from across basketball, hockey, baseball, football, and college icons. The tour guides’ knowledge is superb and their insider info make it more than worthwhile. Our guides answered so many questions, really personalizing the experience for a wide audience.
The arena tour was a perfect stop on a hot day in Boston and my favorite areas were the Armand M. LaMontagne. I also got to sit in the actual penalty box where Terry O’Reilly spent all those precious minutes. And our guide confirmed that the lost monkey/monkey skeleton urban legend is true.
If you are looking for something to do a visit to Boston or a good summer vacation activity to keep the kids entertained, add this to your list!"

"We just did the Boston TD Garden VIP Tour and it was worth EVERY PENNY! As big Celtics fans we got to see the stadium from multiple levels and had a personal tour guide who taught us a bunch about the Bruins! I loved the tour but I do wish we got to see more of the Celtics instead of mostly Bruins but if you are a Boston Sports Fan in General I would 100% recommend doing this personal tour!"

"Amazing tour, highly recommend. From Stanley Cup relics to Shaquille O'Neal's shoes, there's everything Boston sports here. Particularly, I recommend booking a tour which includes Heritage Hall, the 100- year celebration of the Boston Bruins. Some amazing relics in there, history film narrated by Doc Emerick , and items from the Bruins' history, pictured below."

The TD Garden Tour Experience
Many reviewers emphasize that booking a tour, especially on a non-game day, maximizes the experience. This is because on game days, access to certain areas like the locker rooms might be restricted due to game preparations. The tour provides a unique perspective on the history and operations of one of Boston's most iconic sports arenas, making it a must-do for dedicated fans.
It's worth noting that while the tour is highly recommended, some visitors have found the museum exhibits themselves to be somewhat scattered or less extensive if visited without the context of the arena tour. Therefore, combining the two is often the best strategy for a truly immersive sports history experience in Boston.
