Overall, it's considered a gem for outdoor recreation and relaxation.
"We had a great visit. We had our family reunion here and wow, that the staff and a facility treat us. Well, we were very humble by there. Due diligence of how things were up being handled and humbled by there. Generosity, so thank you to the staff on the Montgomery bell state park. Facility a ton of things to do a ton of trails to walk. We were very pleased with our room. The cleanliness, the hotel was just a plus parking was great and plentiful. There's a small beach. What surprised me? The kids really enjoyed it. Not my kids, but I saw other kids. There My kids are grown, but they probably still would enjoy it. And the sand was white. It's a white sandy beach.
Small area to swim, though. So I don't think you're going to, you know, come there and swim like in the oceans or Olympic pool or anything. Just basically just to cool off, then lay back on the beach. It was more for little kids than anything. I'll just come out and say it. But the kayaks, roboats, paddle boards, no motorized vehicle, of course.
A lot of picnic areas, and you can barbecue.
All in all it was, we had a great time. Total recommendation."

"It is a beautiful state park that you should check out and enjoy. Montgomery Bell is just another gem of the state of Tennessee. Nice hiking trails, nice little beach swim area which has rental paddle boats and boards, canoes and other rentals. The swim area has an in water volleyball area (you are able to rent volleyball's as well) prices where $20 an hour for boats (again, paddle and canoe) staff were extremely accommodating and friendly. Great service! There are cabins, camp areas and a beautiful lodge on property as well. I hope you enjoy this park."
