I had such a great time doing #powerwashingart at the @Dallas Zoo After Dark event. I got to meet a lot of really cool people. Renee, Britney and the zoo staff took such good care of me and my family while we were in Dallas. Thank y’all!! The best part of it all was our behind the scenes zoo tour today. My boys loved feeding the penguins. I hope I have the chance to do it again. It’s such a great ...

Reviews Summary

Visitors consistently praise the Dallas Zoo for its well-maintained grounds, diverse animal collection, and engaging exhibits like the Giants of the Savanna and Dino Safari. The Children's Zoo is a hit with families. Some find food and store prices to be expensive, and special event days can be very crowded.

"I had a really good experience at the zoo. The place is well maintained, clean, and has plenty of space to walk around and enjoy at a relaxed pace. The animals looked well cared for, and there was a good variety to see—from exotic species to some more local ones. The facilities are clearly marked, making it easy to explore without getting lost.

I also liked that there were green areas to rest, food stands, and activities for kids. It’s an ideal spot to spend the day with family, a partner, or even alone if you enjoy nature and animals.

I definitely recommend visiting. It’s worth it."

Luis Ramírez

"Awesome experience! We visited during the week. No wait time, which was awesome! We also purchased tickets and parking pass prior to getting there. I highly recommend doing that to save time and have everything ready when you arrive. There were also shaded areas where we parked, which was great for keeping the vehicle cool during the hot day. Plenty of shaded areas in the park! Aim for an early arrival during warmer days. Cooler temps may encourage the animals to move around more!"

Reginald Lowrie

"Visited today and had an amazing time! The exhibits were well-designed, the animals looked happy and active, and the staff was super friendly. The store and food was expensive. The Wilds of Africa was a highlight. A fun, relaxing, and educational day—highly recommend!"
