I reckon most Dallasites haven’t even heard of this trail, but it’s worth knowing! It connects to both Joppa Preserve and the Trinity River Audubon Center, so there’s lots to see! I just barely dipped my toes into its 3.25 miles on this walk. #FishinForLifesBiggestMysteries #Dallas #Dfw #Hiking #Trails #Fall #GreatTrinityForest #Nature #Texas #TexasHiking

📍Trinity River Audubon Center Although we didn’t catch sight of many birds today, there was more than enough nature to enjoy. Hiking along trails thick with grasshoppers and late summer wildflowers, the skies buzzing with bees and migrating dragonflies, watching giant orb weavers turned out to be just enough to fill our afternoon. Our W+F kids can play for hours in these settings, giving mamas ...

The educational aspects and opportunities for birdwatching are frequently highlighted as major draws. While the entrance can be a bit tricky to find, the overall experience is overwhelmingly positive, offering a peaceful escape into nature.

"Very serene. Trails are great, not strenuous so pretty easy for anyone. Watch out for poison ivy if you step off the trail. It's on some trails, so tennis shoes recommended. Views are lovely and there's enough to hike for a good long walk. Saw more birds this time (my first time was in summer and later in the morning, so it was too hot for birds to be very active.) Thoroughly enjoyed, even in the rain."

"A lovely center with excellent trails and kind staff. My friend and I enjoyed walking the trails in search of birds. She has limited mobility and was grateful for the benches along the trail ( as was I). We were able to see some lifer birds on our trip and so many native Texas plants. The entrance to the center is a little confusing to find but otherwise it's amazing!"

"We are here to attend a wedding which I think this is a great venue for it! Or if you are a natural lover, family with young children, this is the perfect place for you!

They have education canters, trails and many other things and activities to do!

Also great for wedding or special events up to maybe 120 people for indoor seating."
