"I’m a Bosnian Muslim and recently prayed here. A Black man from Africa repeatedly told me to move my chair away from him in a very disrespectful way even though there was space and I was praying quietly and respectfully.
I’ve prayed in mosques around the world and always felt unity and equality. This was the first time I faced racism inside a house of worship, which was painful and deeply disappointing.
I welcome people of every race, culture, and background. To me, humanity’s diversity is like a field of beautiful flowers. It truly pains me to have to post this, but I believe it’s important to speak up so this kind of behavior is addressed.
