Hello, I’m coming from Montenegro to work at the mentioned resort over the summer. I would like to know what you can generally tell me about the place I’m going to – what kind of clientele is present in such a location, how far it is from the capital, what kind of “reputation”…

What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise the Flaming Gorge Dam Visitor Center for its impressive views of the dam and reservoir, and the informative exhibits detailing its history and construction. The unique dam tours, including the elevator descent, are a major draw. While some vending machines are noted as unreliable, the overall experience is described as pleasant and memorable, offering a smaller-scale but equally fascinating alternative to larger dams.
"Flaming Gorge Dam visitor center is a nice place to stop to get a great view of the Green River and the Flaming Gorge Dam . If you’ve been to the Hoover Dam, this place will remind you of it, but only a smaller version. The visitor center is very clean. There’s a gift shop, restrooms, plenty of free parking and shaded picnic tables. The staff is very helpful. There’s a small theater which plays several movies about the history of the dam. There are tours available, which will allow you to take a 48 story elevator down to the bottom of the dam to see the turbines which generate electricity. There is a sky bridge so you can walk over and see the lower side of the dam. Overall, the visitor center is a pleasant place to stop and take a break and enjoy the views."

"In August 2025, we visited the Flaming Gorge Dam Visitor's Center at the Flaming Gorge National Recreation Area in the Northeastern corner of Utah. The Flaming Gorge Dam was completed in 1964, and it has created the Flaming Gorge Reservoir on the Green River. There are walkways here that allow visitors to see the Green River downstream of the Flaming Gorge Dam, as well as panoramic views of the Flaming Gorge Reservoir. This was an enjoyable and memorable place to visit and experience."

"The place is decently clean for how old it is. The vending machines don't do. It'll take your money. The view incredible."
